Thousands of people a day travel up and down U.S. Route 1 between Kittery and Old Orchard. And on April 10, York County U.S. Route 1 communities will provide those travelers with a clear view of their opinions. Concerned residents will be standing out on U.S. Route 1 in each of nine York County communities – York, Kittery, Ogunquit, Wells, Kennebunk, Arundel, Biddeford, Saco, OOB – all holding signs outlining the many freedoms being threatened by the current administration.

The event sponsor, the York County Democratic Committee states, “Our first goal is for every town in York County, Maine, on Route 1 to be part of this effort on April 10 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. Since gatherings like this are already popping up in many U.S. Route 1 towns, we want to close the gaps so that soon, a line of rally participants can stretch the 546 miles from Kittery to Fort Kent. That would make a strong visual statement about Mainers’ feelings about their freedoms.”
