The Old Orchard Beach Democratic Committee Facebook Page & Meta Privacy Policy is effective as of July 15, 2024. By using our Facebook page, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard or not safeguard your data when interacting with our Facebook page.
Information We Collect: We do not intend to collect any information that is not voluntarily provided to us when you join or donate to the OOB DEMS via Facebook or other Meta platforms. We provide links to common payment vendors that clearly provide notice of their policies.
Our policy is to not allow what is called “trolling” and to keep our page positive. If nonmembers or non-followers react to our page with negative or sarcasm, as we feel it defined, whether by post or “emojis,” we reserve the right to not provide policy rights or terminate any privacy rights you assume that you have that is reserved for active members of the page, and the Committee as distince from the FB page, and all donors who donate at least $100. These two latter benefits are never terminated without the vote of the Committee Board. To be a memnber of the FB page must attend three monthly meetings of the Committee in a six-month space.
Personal Information: We ask that you volunteer some personal information for communication purposes only if you want to receive communication about meetings and events. This information includes your name, email address, phone number, and other contact details if you voluntarily provide them to OOB DEMS through messages, comments, or forms. This information is secure and private. It is never used for any other purpose.
1. Non-Personal Information: We do not intentionally collect unique non-personal information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and interactions with our posts. Facebook collects them and shares analytics with us in aggregated form.

We also intend to provide online content, such as a section for policy debates in our blog section for verified committee members in good standing and elected officials.
